Yesterday afternoon our litter C was born.
After a quite sleepless night and some stressing labour, Nukka gave birth to her very first baby, and immidiately took good care of him who was very active and loud while searching for the milk bar.
Three siblings followed with little effort within two and a half hours. Then Nukka decided to take a rest. Although everything seemed quite effortless and relaxed, a series of births is quite straining, and the fortunately active pups were claiming mommie’s care quite noisily.
After little more than three hours, the youngest pup was born, a girl and the heaviest baby of this litter.
All five weighed around 500 g (> 1 pound) at birth and they were immidiately searching for the milkbar by themselves, drawing mommie’s attention by singing in different pitches. Nukka apparently feels fine, eating her food with great appetite and drinking well.
We are thankful that Nukka’s litter, too, was born without issues.
